[ARCHIVED] Looking for a fair and competitive electric rate? Join the Webster Power Switch by January 7, 2019!

Power Switch

The Webster Power Switch is back!

e City of Webster is offering its residents an opportunity to lower their monthly energy bills though a group energy switching program called the Webster Power Switch.

The idea behind group energy switching is simple – a group has more bargaining power than an individual does on their own. Together with energy broker, iChoosr, we’ll form a group of participants who are looking for a better rate and invite energy providers to bid against each other. The provider who offers the cheapest rate wins our business and then you decide if the offer is right for you.  The last Webster Power Switch auction resulted in an average yearly savings of approximately $500 per household.

After the auction, every registrant will receive a Personal Offer, letting you know how much you could save with the winning rate. After you receive your Personal Offer, it is completely up to you to decide if you want to accept it or not. There is no obligation.

There is no cost to register and the more people who register for the program, the better the opportunity for the broker to secure a fair and competitive deal. Visit  to learn more or to sign up.

Please note: There is no cost to the city to offer this service, nor does the city receive any financial benefit.

Households in areas served by a member-owned electricity cooperative or a municipal-owned utility are not eligible to participate.
