The National Weather Service’s StormReady program helps arm America’s communities with the communication and safety skills needed to save lives and property--before, during and after the event.
Webster Emergency Management Director Joe Ferro received correspondence from the Houston/Galveston StormReady Advisory Board, recognizing the measures that the City of Webster has taken and certified the City as StormReady for the next three years.
The City uses Regroup Mass Notifications to get weather related information to its citizens. Webster also has an active severe weather preparedness and education program.
On January 17, Warning Coordination Meteorologist Dan Reilly attended the Webster City Council Meeting where he presented the certification to the City.
