The following are Boards & Commissions active within the government of the City of Webster. Click on link below to view members.
Animal Control Board
The purpose of the Board is the determination of dangerous or vicious animals which may constitute a danger to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City.
Building Board of Adjustments & Appeals
The purpose of this Board is to hear appeals of decisions and interpretations of the Building Official and consider variances of the technical codes.
Zoning Board of Adjustment
The purpose of this Board is to hear and decide appeals, special exceptions and variances of the terms of the zoning ordinance that are consistent with the general purpose and intent of the ordinance.
Parks, Recreation & Beautification Board
The purpose of this Board is to encourage and recommend the establishment and maintenance of parks and recreation facilities as well as recreation programs throughout the City.
Planning & Zoning Commission
The purpose of this Commission is to formulate a comprehensive master plan for the development of the City and to recommend approval or disapproval of plats of proposed subdivisions submitted in accordance with city ordinances.
Webster Economic Development Corporation
This non-profit corporation utilizes Section 4B sales tax for promoting economic development. The WEDC fosters the creation of new and expanded commercial development, as well as the retention of existing industry.
Charter Review Commission
The purpose of this Commission is to review the City Charter, and to propose amendments, if any, to improve the effective application of the charter to current conditions.
