The Patrol Division is the largest division of the Police Department and is comprised of four shifts under the command of Captain J Vaughn - Patrol Operations and Lieutenant J Tovar.  There are four patrol shifts; each shift has a Sergeant who oversees day-to-day operations. in addition to the four patrol shifts, there are officers assigned to specialized duties or tasks and a Sergeant that oversees these officers as well. On average, patrol officers respond to over 20,000 calls for service each year. The Patrol Division works to achieve the goals and actions set forth in the City of Webster’s strategic plan, specifically to:

  • Prevent, control, and reduce crime
  • Collaborate with citizens, businesses, and other stakeholders to prevent crime
